Chapter 10 Deploying Applications Around Proxies and Firewalls

This chapter describes security features for Java clients that connect over the Internet or through proxy servers. For more information on Java clients, see the chapter "Creating CORBA-Compatible Java Clients" in the EAServer Programmer's Guide.

Proxy servers are typically used to isolate computers on a corporate network from the Internet. Connections to and from the Internet must go through the organization's proxy servers. EAServer does not include proxy server software, but supports client connections through proxy servers to EAServer.
